Happy Chinese New Year everyone! haix, so fast another yr passed...14 in western calender dis yr, 15 in chinese's. heh, my grandfather(father's side) told my mum to buy new clothes and eat a bowl of mian4 xian4 on the 15th of the lunar calender, or simple 15th day of cny! coz i am 15 yrs old, marks me as an adult :P heex, weird eh? ;) best thing is tt i'll get more new clothes...off to nike department *EviL gRinZ*

ah well...played blackjack dis yr(as usual), won 100 bucks al2getha! won 10 bucks first dae, lost 12 bucks 2nd day, won 27 bucks 3rd dae, and 40 bucks on 4th dae...hmmx, tt adds up to $65...other 35? my uncle owes me 30 bucks(he was actually owing me till 166 bucks! and i sui bian let him play damn big and i just played as if i dun care abt de money :P TRUTH!) another 5 bucks...earned a bit of da otha 5 bucks over de 4 daes.. :P heex...kewl eh? my prev record was 50 bucks!!! ah well...and i only got 160+ for angpao money...so lil :( economic recession...haix

well...chao busy and stressed recently. mainly stress though, and mostly due to exo election rally. i screwed up big time man...so nervous. first time i spoke in front of so many ppl. haix...hope ppl will still vote for me as 2nd or 3rd choice, den i can still get in. if i get in, xun, u WILL get ur macs meal. but looks like i'm saving it :P. nevertheless, if i get in, i will strive to work hard for the icouncil and de school! ahh well, i think kao and lenny sure get in one. kenny probably larh. kao becuz his speech humorous and made a good impression, and also sec2 support. lenny becuz of sec1 support. kenny becuz of sec3 support. tt leaves last position in exco, hope i can get in... *crosses fingers*

dey r so kaobei, sorry haf 2 use dis term larz. no other betta terms 2 desc dem lorz...other than wat...LAME. hate dem larz, sure many huazhong ppl(my yr and above) agree wif tt. ah well...de sec1 ispark camp was okay generally larz...other than sleeping chao late 4 us...some more need 2 do night patrol :| i was in charge of group 2 wif greg and chin kiat, and de group was quite good actually(compared 2 de others). de only bad thing is tt dey r very unresponsive. other than tt, dey suprised me quite a lot. like during ne activity(weakest link) and soccer, dey came out tops, totally shocked me...cuz dey looked so nerdy and everithing...mebbe it was me qiao2 bu4 qi3 dem larz, but dey r quite good lorz. de soccer comp...dey got top scorer!!! and greg(organizer of soccer comp) was lyke, you wanna join us 4 soccer comp dis yr?! but it was not becuz he's good, it's becuz de top scorer poacher...got 1 good crosser in my group though. cross 2 de poacher 2 tap it in...heex :D well, and my group actually was quite good 2 me larz...came down wif fever and very bad sore throat on 2nd dae. when dey saw i was unwell during supper, dey offered and helped me throw de rubbish away...so guai1 rite? :) well, sec2 life so busie...owed a lot of hw due 2 camp(actually w/o camp bad enuff liaoz :P). haix...now greg is damn pissed wif de class, cuz our class kept intro him 2 tchrs as ji mun(his chinese name), and somehow he dun lyke it :S ah well, must respect his decision larz. wah...2dae write quite a lot...cuz so much 2 write and pour out...luckily got dis blog...cuz i noe no one in rl will listen 2 me saying all dis crap. sheesh...hope everyi1 is goin well in sch. i am tentatively in charge of dis yr's icouncil retreat...heex...betta make it fun :P hope can make it into exco...if anyone happens 2 read dis, wish me luck k? and pls sign my gbk...it is getting "dusty", heex :P

wah sianz...my hp smth lyke xun's now..."drowned" :( dun noe how lehz...played soccer in rain 2dae, den on the way back down de slope, i called someone and it was still working, den only when i reached home and took out my hp did i realise it spoilt :( mebbe wet and cold...S-I-C-K lyke a human can get..sigh :( so depressing...blehx, wonder how everybdy's doin' in sch now, hope everybdy's doin' fine :) play soccer until my legs are lyke so damn tired liaoz...haix :P yesterday match after school: won 3-2, scored 2 goals :D but 2dae played street soccer, only played 2 match though...din scored any :( bleh...heex, hope my hp can recover, and hope everybdy's fine :)

I. There are approximately two billion children (persons under 18) in the
world. However, since Santa does not visit children of Muslim, Hindu,
Jewish or Buddhist religions, this reduces the workload for Christmas night
to 15% of the total, or 378 million (according to the Population Reference
Bureau). At an average (census) rate of 3.5 children per household, that
comes to 108 million homes, presuming that there is at least one good
child in each.

II. Santa has about 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the
different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels
east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 967.7 visits per
second. This is to say that for each Christian household with a good
child, Santa has around 1/1000th of a second to park the sleigh, hop out,
jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining
presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left for him, get
back up the chimney, jump into the sleigh and get on to the next house.
Assuming that each of these 108 million stops is evenly distributed around
the earth (which, of course, we know to be false, but will accept for the
purposes of our calculations), we are now talking about 0. 78 miles per
household; a total trip of 75.5 million miles, not counting bathroom stops
or breaks. This means Santa's sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second ---
3,000 times the speed of sound. For purposes of comparison, the fastest
man-made vehicle, the Ulysses space probe, moves at a poky 27.4
miles per second, and a conventional reindeer can run (at best) 15 miles
per hour.

III. The payload of the sleigh adds another interesting element. Assuming
that each child gets nothing more than a medium sized Lego set
(two pounds), the sleigh is carrying over 500 thousand tons, not counting
Santa himself. On land, a conventional reindeer can pull no more than 300
pounds. Even granting that the "flying" reindeer could pull ten times the
normal amount, the job can't be done with eight or even nine of them ---
Santa would need 360,000 of them. This increases the payload, not
counting the weight of the sleigh, another 54,000 tons, or roughly seven
times the weight of the Queen Elizabeth (the ship, not the monarch).

IV. 600,000 tons travelling at 650 miles per second crates enormous air
resistance --- this would heat up the reindeer in the same fashion as a
spacecraft re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The lead pair of reindeer
would absorb 14.3 quintillion joules of energy per second each. In short,
they would burst into flames almost instantaneously, exposing the reindeer
behind them and creating deafening sonic booms in their wake. The entire
reindeer team would be vaporised within 4.26 thousandths of a second, or
right about the time Santa reached the fifth house on his trip. Not that
it matters, however, since Santa, as a result of accelerating from a dead
stop to 650 m.p.s. in .001 seconds, would be subjected to centrifugal
forces of 17,500 g's. A 250 pound Santa (which seems ludicrously slim)
would be pinned to the back of the sleigh by 4,315, 015 pounds of force,
instantly crushing his bones and organs and reducing him to a quivering
blob of pink goo.

V. Therefore, if Santa did exist, he's dead now.

Just back from NCC camp...Oh well...what can I say? "My body is aching, my mind is spent..." - WWE. Guess tt describes me best now... I don't know wat is wrong wif blogger, but I just dun noe y it doesn't update fast...feel realli frustrated at times. Gonna try to do 10 pull ups one fine day though...tt will be the best contribution de camp will make. Well...de best part of da whole camp is de warcamps...everi1 in sec1 and sec2 ncc went against de sec3s and killed them...ahahahah *evil grin* solonite was kinda kewl...de last camp i freaked out, but dis time i din...feel so proud manzZzz. just try staying alone in de dark in tchs from near midnite to 2+ in de morning...u'll realise lonliness and fear...eheh...8 ppl from a section of 18 ppl reported sick for solonite, all situated from de tower block...now u realised it's 'scariness' eh? ;P n a real zai sec2 from my section reported sick...and he was at de street soccer court, talk abt DIE-hard fans who luvs soccer *mutter*...ahh well...aren't i glad to be at my com once again?
